
MECHANICAL REPAIRS
Repair Procedure
All repairs are carried out using professional workshop procedures and manufacturer service information where available. Every repair begins with an assessment of the affected system to confirm the customer's concern, identify the root cause and determine the most appropriate repair method.
Repairs are performed using quality parts that are genuine or meet/exceed manufacturer specifications. Replacement of parts is carried out only where necessary and in accordance with manufacturer recommendations or industry best practice.
Every Repair Includes

Verification of the reported concern.

Diagnostic testing.

Visual inspection of the affected system.

Inspection of related components that may contribute to the fault.

Removal of defective components.
-
Cleaning of mating surfaces where applicable.

Installation of replacement components using correct procedures and specified tightening torques where available.

Replacement of seals, gaskets, O-rings or single-use fasteners where required.

Adjustment, calibration or relearn procedures where applicable.

Diagnostic fault code clearing where applicable.
-
Functional testing of the repaired system.
-
Road test.
-
Final inspection for correct operation and fluid leaks where applicable.
Additional Operations
The following operations are not included in the quoted repair unless otherwise specified. Where required, these services will be charged separately or referred to a third-party provider.

Electrical fault finding.

Scan tool programming or calibrations that are not related to quoted repairs but required to complete the job.

Wheel alignment. (Required after most suspension work and is NOT PROVIDED by Auto Papa)

Air conditioning refrigerant recovery and recharge (NOT PROVIDED by Auto Papa)

Fluid replacement not directly related to the repair.

Additional cleaning of heavily contaminated components.

Removal of seized or broken fasteners or components.

Extraction of broken studs or bolts.

Thread repair.
-
Rusted or corroded component removal.
-
Manufacturer software updates.
-
Consumables not normally included in the repair.

Use of speciality tools (if not included in the quote)
Service Report
A detailed report is provided outlining:

Cause of failure.
-
Components replaced.
-
Components inspected.
-
Additional faults identified.
-
Future maintenance recommendations.
Warranty
All repairs carried out are fully insured.
Replacement parts supplied by Auto Papa are covered by the manufacturer's warranty together with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty does not apply to customer-supplied parts, pre-existing faults, or failures of unrelated components.
Please Note:
Repair labour covers only the operations quoted or authorised.
If additional faults or safety concerns are discovered during the repair, work will cease where necessary and you will be contacted before any additional repairs are undertaken.
Additional labour, parts and consumables will not be supplied without customer authorisation.
If a repair is declined after dismantling has commenced, labour associated with diagnosis, disassembly, inspection and reassembly (where applicable) remains payable. A vehicle will not be reassembled without charge solely because repairs are declined.
