Maintenance
Minor Service (Foundation Service)
Labour: 1.5–2.0 hours (vehicle dependent)
This service is the foundation of all scheduled vehicle maintenance and is performed using manufacturer-approved servicing procedures. It is designed to maintain vehicle reliability, identify developing faults before they become costly repairs, and ensure the vehicle continues to operate safely and efficiently.
Service Includes:
Engine Service

Drain engine oil.
-
Replace engine oil filter
-
Refill engine with the correct manufacturer-specified engine oil.
-
Verify correct engine oil level after running the engine.
Vehicle Inspection
A comprehensive inspection of the vehicle is performed, including but not limited to:

Engine bay inspection for fluid leaks, component deterioration and abnormal wear.

Cooling system visual inspection and pressure test.
-
Battery condition and terminal inspection, starting and charging system test.
-
Drive (accessory) belt inspection.
-
Brake system visual inspection and brake fluid test.
-
Brake pad and brake disc condition assessment.
-
Steering and suspension component inspection.
-
CV boots and steering rack boot inspection.
-
Wheel bearing check (where applicable).
-
Tyre condition, tread depth and inflation pressure check and adjustment (including spare tyre)

Wheel nut security check.
-
Exhaust system inspection.
-
Underbody inspection.
-
Engine mounts and transmission mounts visual inspection.
-
Horn, wipers, exterior and interior lighting operation check.
-
Windscreen washer operation check and washer fluid top-up.
-
Visual fuel system inspection.
-
Air conditioning operation check.
-
Cabin condition inspection (seats, seat belts controls etc.).
Fluid Inspection
Inspect and top up (where required and applicable):

Engine coolant - if level low, top-up with demineralised water ONLY and pressure test for leaks

Brake/clutch fluid
-
Windscreen washer fluid
-
Drive line oils level check (where applicable) and visual inspection for leaks
-
Automatic transmission fluid level check (where applicable)
Electronic Systems
-
Reset service reminder and oil life where supported.

Perform diagnostic system scan (OBD2 only).
Final Checks
-
Start and inspect engine operation.
-
Confirm there are no fluid leaks following service.

Road test vehicle.
-
Recheck engine oil level.
-
Confirm service reminder has been reset.
Waste Management
-
Collect and dispose of all waste engine oil and oil filter in accordance with environmental regulations.
Service Report
A detailed service report is provided outlining:

Vehicle condition.
-
Inspection findings.
-
Components requiring monitoring.
-
Safety-related observations.
-
Recommended repairs or future maintenance.
Scheduled Log Book Service
Every scheduled Log Book Service performed by Auto Papa includes the complete Minor Service outlined above.
In addition to the Minor Service, all manufacturer-scheduled maintenance items due for the vehicle's age, mileage or time interval are completed in accordance with the manufacturer's service schedule.
Depending on the service interval, this may include replacement or servicing of components such as:

Each Log Book Service is tailored specifically to your vehicle using the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule to ensure your vehicle continues to meet factory servicing requirements.
All servicing is carried out using quality parts and lubricants that are genuine or meet/exceed manufacturer specifications and does not affect your new vehicle warranty All work performed is fully insured and your rights are protected under
Australian Consumer Law.
Please note that repairs identified during inspection are not included in the scheduled service and will be quoted separately before any additional work is undertaken.
